Born in Bristol in 1940
Educated at Bristol Grammar Prep School and a boarder at Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School, Bristol.
Came to Cardiff in 1958 to study Civil Engineering at University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire
Worked in the Civil Engineering and Building Industry mainly as an Engineer/Agent and Contracts Manager in South Wales and the West of England.
Married to Pamela with two sons, Jeremy and Bradley who live in Marshfield and have two granddaughters, Carys and Tesni who attend Bassaleg School.
Have been a Community Councillor on the Wentlooge Community Council since 1989 and Chairman since 1991
Have lived in St. Brides Wentlooge since 1978 after moving from St. Mellons.
Was Chairman of the Restoration Committee of St. Bridgets Church, St. Brides during it's restoration and re-opening
Member of the Parochial Chuch Council and organiser of it's "100" club
Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Services
