Les Knight is married to Betty and has two children (both married) and two grandchildren. the elder one being in the university of Cardiff and the youngest in primary school in Cwmbran

Les has been a Councillor since 1965 and has held a number of roles with the Authority.

A previous Mayor, Les is currently chariman of the Planning Committee and is looking at Planning policies from a different angle. He has been a member of the planning committee for over 35 years.
