- I live with my wife Ruth and daughter Victoria who attends the local comprehensive
- I am currently chairman of Newport West Conservative Association
- I am “Friend of Tredegar House”
- I am on the following Community Organisations Caldicot and Wentlooge Levels Drainage Board Community Chest Community Health Board Environment Agency
- In my spare time I enjoy Tae Kwan Do, walking, local history and reading political history
